My Fairy Godmother

…thrift stores. Since the time I started earning my own paycheck (donning that maroon visor, “curly or regular fries?” “Big Montana!”), I found my own Saks Fifth Avenue - Salvation Army. Minus the glamorous lighting, attractive displays, add in a frangrance department that takes eau de toilette literally, and I discovered my Bloomingdales. Since falling in love with pit stained t’s and the delicate scent of mothballs fused with Mustang Musk (yeah, you remember), I can’t break away. Today while wearing my Member’s Only jacket (a thrift original), I discovered this Vera Wang - all for about the price of two Beef ‘n Cheddars and a side of curly fries.

I love the idea of a .75 cent thrift store tie. I wonder if Georges would notice if I bought him one. BTY the dress is really beautiful.

I am also a fellow thrifter…Tristans 150+ tie collection contains mostly (98%) wide, polyester thrift store ties! I miss you like crazy in RS down here. Oh, and I have another baby…did you see? Her name is Harper.
