3 Rounds and a Sound

That’s the title of Blind Pilot’s recent album. For us it’s been more like 3 Months I’ve Downed. Three months I’ve downed on… waiting. Just like that. Waiting for Darwin to take the medical board exams, for him to get placed in a hospital so we’d know exactly in which city we’d be living. Thankfully our “on hold” music was to the tune of my sweet and inexplicably adorable nieces - Isabella and Olivia. I’ll put my life on hold any day if it means spending it with them.

On the fourth night in our new city, we caught a Blind Pilot show.  After a quick trip on the metro from our new place on Friday night, we found ourselves just a couple of feet from Blind Pilot’s captivating sounds - sounds that are even better live than on their CD. Hear for yourself.

The first song you may recognize from the Manatee video, Oviedo followed by Go On, Say It.

                                3 Rounds and a Sound

3 rounds and we’ve found - found our place in the Washington D.C. area. As for you (if anyone even looks at this thing anymore), you’ll find a little bit more of what I call “Dear Diary” best illustrated by this 1995 excerpt from my 11-yr old journal:
